Ahmet ALTINAY

Ahmet Altınay got his B.Sc. in Department of Chemistry from Hacettepe University in 2006, his MSc in Electrochemistry area. He is a PhD. candidate and studies focus on Redox Flow Batteries. During the MSc, he worked as Project Manager and Project Coordinator at TUBITAK and KOSGEB supported projects conducted in companies operating in the electrochemical industry. During this mission, his projects were Electrochemical Coating and Surface Treatment with OSKO company between 2007-2012 and Development of New Generation Battery Prototypes with Halk Energy company between 2012-2015. He worked at ASPILSAN Energy Technopark in order to conduct Lithium Battery Development and Production project in 2016. He has worked as R&D Manager  and conducted development of batteries and fuel cells in various chemistries, battery management systems and renewable energy systems projects since the end of 2016.

 

Bertan TEZCAN

Dr. Bertan Tezcan got his B.Sc. in Electric Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University in 1997, his MSc in Electric Electronics Engineering from University of Southern California in 1999, MBA from Santa Clara University in 2003 and his PhD in Electric Electronic Engineering from University of Southern California. In 1999, Bertan Tezcan participated in various positions at Integrated Device Technology (IDT) Company as a system engineer, head system engineer, technical marketing manager, product manager. He was in strategy commission in IDT and took charge in acquisition and integration of several companies to IDT. Between years of 2009-2013, he worked as a vice general director in Diehl Turkey. He worked as a R&D management vice manager at Gate Electronic Company between 2013 - 2016. In 2016, he foundend his own company, HOYTEK Computer Ltd.. 

He got 9 patent and 4 conferences paper in communication field his research interests are underwater communication, research and development on various field, productisation of R&D output.

 

Cem KURAL

Cem Kural, graduated from Middle East Technical University Electrical-Electronics Department in 1992, started to work at Turkish Electronics Industry (TEI) R&D Department in the same year. He continued his education in same university and completed his master thesis on antenna theory programme in 1995. In same year, he had started at Arçelik as an R&D Engineer and then he has proceeded to work in varied positions. Since 2012, he has been working as Head of R&D Department, whose main responsibility is to improve precursor technologies that make company globally different, in open innovation environment. There are more than 1000 D&R Department staff and €40m R&D budget at company.

 

Cenk ÖZEN

Quality and Supply Chain Management Director

Cenk Özen was born on October 21, 1970. He received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical-Electronic Engineering from METU in 1992, and the M.Sc. degree from Thunderbird Graduate School of Global Management, The USA, in 2006. After he had worked as a research assistant for a short period, he worked in Undersecretariat for Defence Industries for 19 years. He was assigned as Head of Sector Regulation and Education Department in Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). During this task, he took office at boards and committees which performs the civil aviation training protocol signed between DGCA and Turkish Council of High Education. He worked as R&D and Technology Director in Havelsan Inc. since November 2013. During this time, he also served as a member of the Executive Committee at Research Support Group of the Defence and Security Technologies in TUBITAK. He has currently worked as Quality and Supply Chain Management Director in Havelsan Inc.

 

Metin NİL

R&D Manager

Vestel Electronics

Metin Nil (1973, Izmir) graduated from Yildiz Technical University (Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering) in 1995 and received his MS degree in 1997. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Ege University (Izmir). His doctorate studies focus on OLED Displays. He joined to Tubitak (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) as a researcher in National Metrology Institute in 1995. After serving several in various positions related to primary level test and calibration systems.He joined Vestel in 2001 as a Reliability Engineer in R&D department.He established many test systems and laboratories on Reliability, EMC, safety and acoustics. He has been a executive board member of the several electrical and electronics platforms and regional clusters on ICT. He has been working at Vestel R&D Department as Manager since 2006. He is married and father of two daughters.

 

Özcan ÖZAY

HUAWEI

Özcan Özay (born 01.06.1976) graduated from İstanbul Technical University (İTÜ) (Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering) in 2000. After serving in Turkey’s first state-sponsored software developement region YGM at ITU, he established his entrepreneurship R&D firm in 2004. In this firm, he develelpod national software and communiciton project called AYKDS. After 2006, he continued to work professionally in sector. He has worked for 4 years in R&G Department of DATAKOM and for 5 years in R&G Department of HUAWEI as follows;

During his duties in DATAKOM and HUAWEI R&G Departments, he took an active role in delivering software pruducts to customers and developing R&G projects both inTurkey and more than 50 countries.The customers that he worked with inTurkey are mainly Turkcell, Avea, Vodafone , abroad Germany Telecom, Ireland Vodafone, Germany Vodafone etc. Moreover the softvares that he devoleped about energy generation and control in DATKOM are still used by local firms like Turkcell, Vodafone and also by South Pole Station of USA NASA and by various countries.

Özcan Özay is vice president of informatics standardization committees in ICTA (Informatics and Communacitions Technologies Authority) at the moment. Moreover as a member of MEF University advisory board and EMO(The Chamber of Electrical Engineers) he conducts variousactivities to develop electrical electronics and communication sector,especially R&G’s in Turkey.
